Five individuals have been arrested after a robbery-turned-shootout took place at a Denver liquor store Monday night.

According to Denver7, the shooting occurred just after 11 p.m. Monday between the clerk and at least one suspect at a liquor store on Sheridan Boulevard and Jewell Avenue.

Police say the 5 suspects left the scene, dropping off one suspect at Denver Health Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg - which they believe may have been self-inflicted.

The getaway car was found, and a chase ended in the arrest of the other 4 suspects at Cedar Avenue and Raritan Street.
