I'm thankful. In so many ways with so many different things. This is a time of year to reflect on life and look at the simple things that we have and make sure we never take them for granted.

I try to do that every day but there's just something special about this time of year with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming soon that really kicks that thankfulness into full effect.

When COVID hit, I lost my job in May of 2020. At the time, we lived in the place we thought would be our forever home up in Washington State just outside of Seattle. But in the midst of a pandemic and needing to find a way to stay afloat and find the best possible opportunity for me and my family, we had to move.

I will forever be grateful for the opportunity that was given to us here in Colorado and the fact that we had a chance to move to just about the only place we would move to and not miss a beat and truly be happy. And that's exactly what happened.

Were there some bumps in the road and some rough days? Absolutely. Has it been perfect? Far from it. But looking back on the past 14-15 months of being here, we couldn't have asked for a better place to relocate to and I, along with my family, are so thankful to call Colorado, in particular Northern Colorado, home.

There are so many reasons to love and appreciate where we live, but I've come up with 25 that resonates with me, as well as my family.
