It appears that the smoke from the wildfires is now behind us. There are two important things that you need to do in your home and in your car. The smoke and ash put a hurt on everyone's respiratory system. just imagine what your car and home would say if they could speak.

Now is the time to replace your HVAC filter in your home. The filter has been hard at work removing the smoke and ash to keep your home comfortable and chances are that the filter is well past its usability due to the particles in the air.

The same goes for your car. If you have been driving at all during the wildfires, your car's "lungs" are probably chocked full of ash. To keep your car running in a good state, it needs to be able to get sufficient airflow to the engine.

Those that suffer from allergies, as I do, may have an air filtration system in their homes. These filters will also need to be changed to be able to run at their full potential. Many newer cars come equipped with in-cabin air filters. Yep, you guessed it, these will need to be changed out too.

Your home and vehicle, much like you thrive best on clean air. Make sure you change out your filters to prolong the life of your home's HVAC system and the longevity of your vehicle.
