Starr Hudson has been a hairstylist for 38 years and has owned Hudson’s Bay Salon Inc. at 521 Main Street in Windsor since 1989. As a result, Starr has been a big part of the Windsor community for a long time. So when her sister Robin recently passed away after a short 2 month battle with Glioblastoma (a cancerous brain tumor), Starr knew she could turn to that same community for support and to help eradicate this terrible disease while also helping others in the community. This Saturday (July 21st) you are invite to join Starr and Hudson’s Bay Salon for the 1st Annual "Robin Feeley"' Blast Glioblastoma Fund Raiser.

There is no cure for Glioblastoma. Radiation will only slow the new growth.  It will not affect the original tumor. This incredibly fast growing and invasive type of Astrocytoma brain tumor is fatal. In the event that it is inoperable, the patient has only weeks, maybe months to live. If operable, multiple surgeries will need to be performed, as it will continue to come back again and again. Life will continue to decline rapidly.

In honor of her sister who recently passed away due to Glioblastoma, Starr Hudson set up the "Robin Feeley Blast Glioblastoma Fund" that falls under the umbrella of the NCMC Foundation. Because of that, 100% of the funds raised will be used ti help Glioblastoma patients in our community.

Many great things will being going on to remember Starr's sister, Robin, on Saturday from Noon-5pm at the salon. Live music from the band Country II, horse carriage rides, food, a silent auction, pet portraits, autographs from best-selling author Debbie Martin, great discounts, and of course great company for a great cause.
