In our first #throwbackthursday video of 2019, we head back three decades to Nirvana's Colorado debut in 1989.

Feel old yet? October of 1989 marked the first time the iconic Seattle band played shows in Colorado; one gig at a place called 'The Garage' somewhere in Denver, and another at the Penny Lane Coffeehouse in Boulder.

Thankfully, someone at the concert took video of the performance, possibly with a bulky video camera propped up on their shoulder, like the kind my parents filmed their '88 wedding with. Not all heroes wear capes.

While a lot of Nirvana's early stuff isn't as well known as, say, 'Smells Like Teen Spirit,' here's one from the show you'll recognize (though most of us know the 1994 MTV Unplugged version).
