I (Gundy) am so glad my kids don't use social media yet.  I can barely handle it myself!  A parent literally needs to go through training to protect their kids from the multitude of creepy outcomes that await them when they hop on the Internet. Thankfully, such things do exist in the Poudre School District.  I attended a lecture from a local detective a few months back, who gave us tons of useful information about the topic, so if you want to get up to speed on that, you should sniff around - perhaps by calling your local police department - and find out how you can best be on top of this stuff.

This is a new one to me, though:  Emoji talk.  So far, it doesn't seem to have much to do with predatory behavior, but it is something teens are using to slip under their parents' radar.

So maybe I'm just ruining a lot of people's fun with this one, but if it saves someone from some horrible despair, then great!
