Simple question, does a full moon make humans crazy, or should I say crazy humans crazier? This is something many people believe is true, but a theory like all that has many skeptics as well. With the moon as full as they come, today would be a good day to conduct a study to find out just how true this legend really is. But, if you aren't much of the scientist type like me, someone did some research for us!

What is the Lunar Effect Anyway?

The lunar effect's real scientific name is the pseudoscientific theory, and basically just suggests that there is a correlation between the moon being full and deviant behavior in human beings. As a matter of fact, there is a connection between the words lunar and lunatic that can  be demonstrated in languages such as Welsh and Latin (the term lunacy itself is derived from Luna, "the Moon" in Latin).

Let's Study!

For years now, scientists have studied the effect the full moon has on humans. What did science say? Well, in a University College London study scientist determined that patients with an epileptic history experienced more seizures than normal during full moons, but that's not really craziness, and that's about where the buck stops. Scientists at the University of Miami determined there were no rises in homicides during a full moon, and scientists in Sacramento County said there was no rise in suicides either.

This means science says the lunar effect doesn't exist right? That's fine, but what I saw when I came to work this morning has got me thinking otherwise!

All of a sudden I am extremely flexible....
