As you may know, I was on vacation last week. I went to Louisiana for a bowling tournament. It was fun, but the bowling wasn't too good for me this time. There was a strange thing that happened the last day though, and it has stuck with me since I returned home. I was at an ATM getting some cash right before I bowled, was running late, and the machine gave me an extra $80. I told a lady that worked there, and she said she would keep it, but there was a number on the ATM I could call if I wanted. What would you do?

There was also a casino near where we were staying, and I spent some time there on the trip, and all the machines did there was eat my money. So, at first when the ATM gave me extra cash it was almost like winning for the first time at the casino! Later though, I started to feel bad.

So why didn't I call the number on the machine? I was running late to start bowling already, and I didn't have time. I was fortunate that the machine didn't give me $80 too little, because I would have had to eat it. I suppose I could have went back to the machine and called after bowling too, but I didn't.

Needless to say, I am back in Colorado now with $80 more than I probably should have. Who knows, maybe they can track it, and my card will eventually be charged anyways, or maybe the ATM owner from Louisiana will read this and figure out it was me. Both are doubtful, so I take my $80 will a smile on my face. Maybe I will even buy breakfast this morning... Doubtful as well!
