Search any address or location on Google Maps, and you can find some pretty weird crap on Street View. I've seen my neighbor taking out the trash in a moo moo, and sketchy looking buildings in North Korea can be spotted (those were identified as prison camps and nuclear complexes in the last 2 years)...

You may have seen Google testing out self-driving cars before, but this is different.  This isn't just a Prius with a bunch of extra technology bolted to it; this is the first self-driving car Google has built from scratch.

Where would we be without search engines? With so much info at our fingertips, chances are eliminating a site like Google would make the world implode into confusion. And while our dependence on technology might be a little crazy at times, there is an upside to it all-- search engine histories reveal a lot of hilarious stuff about people.

In their high-paced efforts to document the mean streets of the world, it appears as if Google may have become cold-blooded donkey killers. Google turned 13 Tuesday, and the search engine celebrated its big day the same way it has every year since 2002 — with a special anniversary doodle. This year’s effort, a staid, retro birthday party scene, doesn’t quite seem befitting of a newly-minted teenager...

To commemorate what would have been Queen singer Freddie Mercury’s 65th birthday this weekend, Google published a Mercury-ized doodle on their homepage, along with an accompanying animated video. The clip imagines the late star (who passed away in 1991 due to AIDS complications), cavorting through a heavenscape packed with 8-bit objects and some of his most iconic outfits.

Today, Google is paying tribute to the late guitar pioneer Les Paul with a guitar-themed doodle that allows users to play it and record songs of their own. The doodle, which was designed by engineers Kristopher Hom and Joey Hurst and doodle team lead Ryan Germick, will be up for 24 hours, and was released to celebrate what would have been Paul's 96th birthday. (Paul, a leader in the development of
