New K9 Joins Weld County Sheriff’s Office
The Weld County Sheriff's Office would like you to join them in welcoming a new K9 to their family.
Until recently, the Weld County jail had never had a K9. But in an effort to increase their ability to detect contraband that may enter the facility and to increase safety of individuals housed in the jail, the WCSO decided to add a K9 unit to its Detention Division. Roman is the first to join the team, and is not an attack dog but rather a his focus is drug detection.
Roman's handler, Deputy MacGregor, has worked in the Detentions Division for over 6 years and is an active member of the WCSO Honor Guard. She's very excited to be joining the K9 team!
