What's your worst skiing experience?  One of mine, when I was learning, was at Copper Mountain when I thought it would be a great idea to follow a couple guys into a closed-off area.  They no doubt went for the deep powder.  I, on the other hand, was not yet experienced enough to stay on top of that snow.  I was in there for over an hour, trying to get enough footing to stand back up and somehow get some momentum with my snowboard.  It was then that I learned:  Don't ever stop on super deep powder!!

This guy's experience is just one reason I don't jump over edges if I can't see what's on the other side.  Boring, maybe, but you can always come back around & jump that baby the next time once you know what you're in for.
